Established:  1994 - the first accredited Cardiology training program in Cebu.

Vision:

                The program aims to develop knowledgeable and skillful cardiologist inbued with humane, compassionate and ethical qualities that would allow them to perform as component health care provider, educators, researchers, leaders and socially-oriented citizens.

Mission:

                The prescribed program is for three years, devoted to clinical training during which trainees participate in a formal rotation schedule design to instruct them in all areas of clinical cardiology, including general knowledge and skills in Non-invasive and Inventional Cardiology.

                There are well-defined levels of responsibility for the staff and the trainees, with the trainees assuming greater responsibility as training progresses. The trainee is encouraged to cultivate an attitude of professional excellence and dedication to continuing education that will remain throughout  his or her professional career.

Nephrology

Perpetual Succour Hospital is also offering Fellowship Adult Nephrology.  The program was established in January 1, 1997 and currently has two fellows in training.

Pulmunary Medicine

The Perpetual Succour Hospital - Section of Adult Pulmonary Medicine Training Program was first conceptualized in the year 2010 by a group of Pulmonologist in Cebu, headed by the eventual founding Chairman, Dr. Martiniano C. Zanoria and its Training Officer, Dr. John Clifford E. Aranas.

It is a three (3) year fellowship training program. Since then, we have produced 5 successful graduates, in which all are board certified Pulmonologist by the Philippine College of Chest Physicians. In line with this, our Fellowship Training Program was recently granted a full accreditation status by the Philippine College of Chest Physicians Accreditation Board.

The training program is young and dynamic, with majority of our core training consultants are graduates from different Pulmonary Medicine training institutions.  We have three (3) objectives for our fellows-in-training: 

1.    To  train qualified physicians in the subspecialty of Pulmonary Medicine and make them eligible for certification as diplomate in Pulmonary Medicine by the Board of the Philippine College of Physicians
2.    To train these physicians in Pulmonary Medicine with emphasis on Pulmonary Physiology, Critical Respiratory Care and Research, and produce Pulmonologists who are not only experts in Respiratory Medicine but also ethical and compassionate professionals.
3.    To assist Residents-in-training of the Perpetual Succour Hospital (affiliated trainees or residents “rotators” from the Department of Internal Medicine) in furthering their knowledge in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
