Global clinical trials have been conducted at Perpetual Succour Hospital since 2004 with the hospital’s Bioethics Committee serving as the first review board. Since then, an Institutional Ethics Review Board has been formally organized with the first set of SOPs written in 2009.  The PSH-IERB attained Level 3 Accreditation by the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board (PHREB) and Forum for Ethical Review Committees in Asia and the Western Pacific (FERCAP) in 2015.

Phase 1 to Phase 4 trials have been conducted in the fields of Endocrinology, Medical Oncology, Hematology, Cardiology, Neuorology, Gyne-Onco, Rehab Medicine, Anesthesia (Pain Management), Urology, and Rheumatology.

Trials are being conducted at the Diabetes Center, the Cancer Center, the Neurology Unit, and at individual clinics of the different principal investigators. With the opening of The Research Institute at Perpetual Succour Hospital, all current and future studies can be consolidated under a centralized area dedicated to clinical research.
 

On May 16, 2017, The PSH  Research Center for Clinical Trials, entered into partnership with QuintilesIMS.                                

 

Ms. Elena Lam, General Manager of  QuintilesIMS and Sr. Zeta Caridad Rivero, SPC, CEO signed a contract to be a partner site with the company.
