Compassionate and World Class
When Kythe was beginning its journey, children living with chronic illness were at the core of our operations as a foundation. Two decades after, we carry the same inspiration. Child Life Program for hospitalized children has been Kythe’s brand of pediatric care. The tradition of psycho-social support through the Child Life Program remains our baseline requirement in our day-to-day work. It entails Child Life practitioners among our staff who either have a Doctorate or Masteral Degree in Psychology/Counseling and Registered Social Workers.
Our pioneering work in Child Life Program is the reason donors and sponsors entrust their blessings to Kythe. Furthermore, we are embarking on research to provide evidence on the impact of Child Life Program services to pediatric patients confined in hospitals. Also contributing to Kythe’s reputation is its certifications and accreditations with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC), Department of Social Welfare and Development, Hospice Philippines, Philippine Alliance of Patient Organizations, Child Life Council among other associations internationally and locally. Kythe received the People Power People Award from President Corazon Aquino in August, 2003 and our student arm, Kythe-Ateneo received the Ten Outstanding Youth Organizations Award (TAYO) award in 2006.
